ACCC is an advanced conductor primarily built for reconductoring and now seen as a capital project saver for new lines.
- ACCC – Aluminum conductor composite core outperforms all other conductors in every aspect
- When compared to ACSR, it will double the conductive carrying capacity (amps) at ACCC operating temperature
- Much lighter and stronger conductor compared to commodity allowing for superior sag performance
- Much less thermal sag compared to ACSR / ACSS
- Better sag in winter conditions to commodity conductors especially under heavy ice load
- CO2 reduction tool – more efficient conductor to ACSR (message primarily for executives)
- Hardware and installation the same as ACSR and ACSS – only difference are dead ends and splices (slight difference with wedge system compared to press system)
